"Spirit Dance" wonderfully captures the Halau Ka Lei Mokihana O Leina'ala hula halau (school of hula performance) gracefully performing in an open Poipu field with low lying, moisture-laden clouds overhead. This is the Kauai halua that swept the wahine awards at the 2022 Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo, a first for a hula group from Kauai. This is a photo that will charm and instill local pride in viewers and bring many years of pleasure hanging in someone's hale (home). This rare photograph by Dr. Lloyd Fujimoto measures 13" by 19" and has been dry mounted on a 1/4 inch foam core.

Dr. Lloyd Fujimoto is a practicing dentist in Lihue, Kauai. He graciously donates this rare photo of Kauai's winning hula halau to the Center because his father was a long time supporter of the Lawai International Center. He hopes that this gift will help the Center to grow, flourish and help the world.
