This ukiyo-e style print depicts a fierce samurai with swirling dress and drawn sword. The work evokes bygone times in Japan when determined samurai served their Lords with "Uncommon Valor". The fan-shaped image is beautifully offset by the patterned background and the red headband only serves to enhance this striking image.
