Enjoy an exciting ride as the only passenger in a Stearman biplane. The Owls Head Transportation Museum would love for you to experience the thrill of this plane.

Subject to weather and pilot availability. 

Rider must be 18 years or older and under 300 pounds. You must present certificate to pilot.

• Certificates can be redeemed between May-October during weekend events on a first come first serve basis, unless otherwise indicated and by appointment.


• Rides are scheduled on a first come first served basis at events (excluding the New England Auto Auction). You can also arrange a flight through our aircraft conservator who can be reached at 207 594 4418.


• We recommend that you call the museum with any scheduling questions and on the morning you plan to visit to be sure the planes will be flying that day.


• When you arrive, your certificate will admit you for free.


• When you arrive at the Museum at the pre-arranged time, please show the certificate to the person at the front desk. You will be asked to sign a waiver and then our Aircraft Conservator will escort you out to the flight line.
