Born in Burlington, NC, Wade Ledbetter was a devastating door knock picker for his profession since 1978. He picked hard, only using the original 'door knocking' method Monday through Friday, and only selling at auction every Friday night, then repeat on Monday. In his later years, at the age of 71, he has began to paint, primarily memory paintings.
