Theresa Pedrotti received her BFA in Painting from RISD, where she developed skills in pigment and paint making. She processes most of the pigments for her work from rocks, minerals, and colored earths she finds or purchases, and the binding media she uses is traditional egg tempera. In addition to painting, she also sculpts in wood and earth.

Theresa created this drawing of a skeletonized leaf before it disintegrated. So much of what is around us is so beautiful, it gets overlooked and then it's just gone. Theresa hopes that when people look at this painting, they see the artwork, but also go out into nature and view the subject. Remember to look at the leaves!
