Madeleine Lord has been making sculpture with steel for over 30 years. Her subject matter ranges from wit to witness. Lord's process starts with a "treasure hunt" in a metal recycle facility near Boston. She then selects scraps that have an interesting form, color or both. The scraps lead the way to a complete figurative work over time.

"Shopper" is a whimsical piece, meant to lighten the moment.
