Carolyn Hagy Kent is a RISD alumna. She was artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center and the Golden Apple. The artist has exhibited at the Vets (RI); Newport Art Museum; AAM and Warwick Center for the Arts. Solo shows include Reliable Gold; Bank RI; Dryden Gallery and AS220. The artist is an Associate Member of the Lyme Art Association (CT), AAM and the Warwick Center for the Arts.

"A View from Below," is large and imposing. The artist enjoys painting nature from a different perspective, and this is an excellent example of that technique. The gold leaves and the blue sky create a visual splash of color!
