Melissa Riley paints imaginary landscapes in oil which depict her impressions of places explored with an abstract eye. In addition to the AAM, her work is exhibited at the True Grit Art Gallery and is regularly shown at the Zullo and Gallery Twist galleries.

Bonnet Shores in RI inspired this bright, cheery painting. Riley is more interested in the shapes and composition of a place rather than the details. "A Walk to the Beach" is divided into three rectangles and a cone shape.
