Lindsay Nygaard enjoys spending time outdoors, and going for long walks in the woods. Visits to local nature sanctuaries and National Parks serve as a means of inspiration for many of her works. She reflects on her experiences and observations by investigating, writing, sketching, photographing, and then by realizing her finalized ideas as works on canvas.

A topic no one ever wants to be forced to think about: the results of a biopsied tumor. With either diagnosis your life is changed forever. A feeling of relief and elation of having escaped; or one of grief and despondency - preparing yourself for the battle of and for your life and its unpredictable outcome.
