Lyn Slade is a needle felting artist, author and teacher. She fell in love with needle felting the first time she tried it, 18 years ago. She is an innovator in this medium, having developed several mixed media processes to complement needle felting. Lyn holds workshops at her home in Bolton MA.

The shapes and textures of Hosta leaves have always been fascinating to Lyn. In this piece she has used needle felting and long-edge wool applique to depict the ribs of the Hosta. The vibrant shades of greens and white on the inky black background will add a pop to any room.
