Katherine Bennett is an oil painter whose work has been featured in Hingham Square Gallery (2009), Aisling Gallery (2012-2014), South Street Gallery (2019) AZ studio in Hingham MA (2000, 2021, current show is on display). While Katherine began as a landscape painter, she also enjoys more nontraditional subjects such as outer space. Her work is notable for its vibrant use of color to evoke an emotional response in the viewer.

"Twilight Fishing in Gloucester" is meant to evoke a sense of nostalgia in the viewer as a shadowy adult/child pair in the foreground is contrasted with a purple sky shortly after sundrop with the evening lights reflected in the dark water.
