Virginia Mahoney holds an MFA in Ceramics from Cranbrook Academy of Art (MI) and a BA in Art from the University of Florida, and a Core Fellow at Penland School of Craft. Mahoney was an "8 Visions 2021" participant and a Bromfield Gallery Solo 2022 Competition winner and has shown in juried and invitational exhibits both regionally and nationally. She is a Core Member of Fountain Street Gallery, and works from her home studio in Brockton, MA.

"Parts of the Past (Papered Over)" is from a new series of experimental works that uses portions of past works dipped in paper pulp and seeks to revisit and re-value the past.
