Mitchell Kaplan specializes in acrylic, watercolor and charcoal mediums. He has recently exhibited at the Warwick Public Library, the Warwick Art Museum, and a Providence Public Gallery. He is also a well-known musician and has been involved in several movies, commercials and television. He was an art and music educator for many years.

In this painting, Mitchell captured a relaxing view of the Atrium at the RISD Museum in Providence, RI. The color tones represent the peaceful tranquility of this hidden gem in the outdoor garden. It was a beautiful place for the artist to sit and sketch.
