After trying a variety of mediums, artist Beverly Silva discovered the joy of mixed media collage. Each day in her studio, she experiments on her own, developing several ongoing series. Her urban landscapes are inspired by her many years of living and working in the city. Beverly is an elected artist of the Art League of RI, and a member of AAM, Pawtucket Arts Collaborative, and Warwick Center for the Arts. She frequently exhibits in group and open juried shows.

Artist Beverly Silva created "Where To?" as part of a later series of abstract mixed media cityscapes which she mounted onto rusted metal. This narrative collage, built intuitively with geometric shapes, limited palette and textural elements, employs imagery and text typically seen in the "downtown" area of a large metropolis. It does not portray a specific location, but seeks to capture the sights, sounds and pace of the urban environment.
