Cristina Hajosy is a mixed media book artist based in Canton. Her passion for marbling began with paper, specifically to be used in the context of bookbinding. It swiftly moved to fabrics, textiles, wood and even terracotta. She finds marbled patterns can be conceptualized into mixed media contexts in unique ways. Often feminist, body related, and occasionally narrative, her marbled artworks take this traditional craft into a contemporary, often turbulent place.
