Linda Byrne spent 35 years as a nurse working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence RI. Throughout her career Linda continuously utilized her artistic talents by personally designing handmade birth announcement keepsakes for parents of newborns who were receiving care in the NICU.

After recently retiring from nursing, Linda has continued to explore her creativity through calligraphy, painting and craft design. This calligraphy/mixed media piece features a quote by Italian writer, Luciano DeCrecenzo.
