Christina Beecher, with her love of the outdoors, has focused her painting career on the natural landscape. She has participated in many juried exhibitions over the past 20+ years. Teaching in her home studio along with gallery representation and her own studio work has allowed Beecher to experiment with oil paint, her medium of choice. She is a member of the AAM, serving as a volunteer and a trustee, as well as the Oil Painters of America.

"Pink Glaze" is an intimate wintery landscape. The slope of the horizon gives this small work a dynamic composition, with a pinkish sky looming over the icy land. The backlit trees serve as an anchor to the horizon while the snowy creek slashes across the midground inviting the viewer into the piece.
