Tracy Korneffel holds an AA from The Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, a BFA in Painting from RISD, and an MAT in Creative Arts from Bridgewater State University. She currently teaches Visual Art at Brennan Middle School in Attleboro, and ceramics at the Attleboro Arts Museum to students of all ages.

This little vase was created by carving into a black "clay slip" covered surface, or a "sgraffito" technique. It was an exercise in showing balance with positive and negative space, and an experiment in using shiny and matte surfaces.
