Do you like to fish?  Hate crowds?  Want a great, private place to fish for large-mouth bass (2 to 8 pounds), channel catfish, and red-ear sunfish (up to 2 pounds)?  If so -- you will love staying and fishing for two days on Sunflower Lake in the middle of Big Bluff Ranch!  You and 3 others will have this lake to yourselves!

Here's what you will enjoy as winning bidder:

• You and 3 guests will be entitled to exclusive fishing use of the lake, rustic cabin, boat with electric motor, and kayak (you may bring float tubes as well) for two days.  This is a normal value of $1200 ($150/per rod per day X four anglers for two days).


• Stay any two nights Monday through Thursday, aproximately noon to noon, up until 6/21/23.


• After 6/21/23 you may stay any two days.


• Lake and cabin scheduling subject to availability.

You will stay in a simple cabin.  Formerly screened in, this year windows were added!  The cabin has a beautiful view and complete isolation.  There's no telephone, WIFI, electricity or neighbors.  The cabin accomodates 4, has a gas BBQ and a 3 burner camp stove.  There is a pleasant outhouse with composting toilet and a solar heated shower.   
 
The ranch is 25 miles west of Red Bluff and our lake is located ½ mile behind a locked gate, so you are “locked” into the middle of nowhere.  The lake has about 3 miles of shoreline and depths up to 50 feet, it offers a great variety of habitats for fish and considerable opportunities for anglers. The only folks you will see are those who came with you and a couple of ranchers.

There are self-sustaining populations of warm-water game fish in the lake: large-mouth bass, sunfish and channel catfish.  The fish are very active and healthy. You won't go home skunked. If you want to teach a kid to fish, this is one of the best spots you can find for that.  This is also a sure bet for lots of top water action.
