Join one of the experienced, certified and personable guides from A. Helfrich Outfitters for a wonderful half day drifting and fishing down the scenic McKenzie River. The guide will assure that you have a wonderful experience whether you are novice or expert.  The fishing is "top water" with dry flies and there is nothing like seeing a trout come up to the surface for your fly!

The trip includes all the needed gear.   

The "beaten path" stops well shy of this federally designated Wild and Scenic River. The crystal clear McKenzie River rises in the Cascades' Clear Lake and flows through spectacular McKenzie Pass, past towering Eagle Rock, 80 miles to Eugene/Springfield where it joins the Willamette River.

The upper river hosts mainly rainbows to 18 inches. The lower river, near Springfield, is home to cutthroats to 16 inches. The average trout caught is about 12 inches.
