Description

You are bidding on a 90-minute casting lesson for 1 or 2 people that will be offered at Northwest Park in Dixon, CA and can be flexibly scheduled to fit your needs.

Russ is a certified casting instructor and co-author of the Fly Casting Skills Development Program with the FFI.  This 90-minute lesson for 1 or 2 people can be tailored to fit student needs at whatever level they are currently at. Maybe you want to bring along/buy a gift for a friend and just have some fun as beginners and learn the basics. Perhaps you have been wanting to increase distance, cast for accuracy or learn to cast safely in the wind. If you have a trip coming up that you want to make sure you are ready for, he can help with that too.

Russ teaches casting as well as fly fishing, so he can tailor a lesson to your specific needs and abilities. From steelhead to shad to learning how to approach fishing a small trout stream, he is willing to work with you to provide you with a hands-on learning environment. He can provide most types of basic equipment, or casters are welcome to bring their own. This session can be scheduled at the buyer’s convenience, within reason. Participants should bring eye protection and be prepared for local weather conditions. Russ kindly requests that this lesson be used by the end of the calendar year 2023.

Special Instructions

Russ would be happy to cater to casters that want to learn about and try the Fly Casting Skills Development Program (FCSD), and use that as a starting point for the lesson. This is a great way to learn where your strengths are as a caster and identify areas for improvement. Plus, he can pretty much guarantee you will have fun.
