The artist Betsy Ross has developed her work over decades in different medium. 

"I was born and bred a New Yorker. Attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. Upon graduation I began a 20 year career as a Fashion Illustrator. Studied in Paris where I sketched the latest designer collections.

30 years ago I relocated to Woodstock N.Y., where I continue to live and work. I am an active member of the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum. Over the past three winters I have studied at the Boca Raton Museum's School of Art.

My body of work encompasses illustrations, jewelry and ceramics and continues to expand, searching for new media to express creativity, sense of style and design. My work expresses an organic gestural sense as well as a spirituality of ages past and a promise and excitement for the future. Each piece is hand-crafted and styled, not cast in a mold and are uniquely different. Working in Bronze allows for the richness of color giving an age-like and enduring quality that is expressed in the collection.

Over the years, and after having traveled extensively, I became interested in Masks. "Used in many ancient cultures, their sense of intrigue lured me into crafting my own." The ones I create are modern with a sense of timelessness and antiquity."
