Give the gift of a book to a child this season.

Up to grade 3 children are learning to read; after grade 3 they are reading to learn. 

The pandemic greatly impacted the loss of reading skills for our students.  Today  more than 2,000 MCCSC children are struggling readers.   

We need high interest reading books in our classrooms and libraries to actively engage students in reading and build reading skills. 

Your donation of $25 we will give five high interest books at various reading levels to our MCCSC literacy coaches to give to children and classrooms who need them most. Our literacy coaches work with these children every day and they will help match an appropriate reading level book with a struggling reader.
