Description

Lena Horne's legendary career spanned more than 70 years, leaving her mark on both stage and screen. She got her start at the Cotton Club in 1933 and starred in movies like Cabin in the Sky, Stormy Weather and Till the Clouds Roll By. On Broadway, she made history as the first Black woman to be Tony nominated for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the 1957 production Jamaica. In 1981, she brought to Broadway her musical revue Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music. She received a special Tony Award that year for the show, which was, at the time, the longest-running solo show in Broadway history. The Broadway theater currently named for Brooks Atkinson will soon be renamed for Horne, making her the first Black woman to have a Broadway theater named after her.

You can own part of theater history with an original Playbill from Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music's Playbill, signed by Horne herself.
