Wonderful Italian fare in the heart of the Upper Village of Montecito with a view of the Montecito foothills.

Via Vai Trattoria and Pizzeria was opened in 1994 and has been pleasing palates ever since. This family favorite has a menu which offers a vast variety of traditional Italian dishes. The atmosphere is casual and friendly with high ceilings, wood beams and interior brick walls which make you feel at home while the outside patio offers fantastic mountain views.

The favorite dish of young and old is the thin crust pizza baked in a wood burning oven. There is also an assortment of traditional simple pasta dishes as well as certified angus beef, lamb chops, rotisserie chicken, and excellent fresh seafood. The carefully selected vegetables mostly come from local organic farms and the award winning olive oil is from Sicily. Monday through Friday there is a special lunch menu with mouthwatering panini. We also serve a Panino Americano which is Via Vai’s twist on the hamburger. All desserts are homemade and are a perfect ending to your meal.
