Description
You are bidding for the unique honor of naming an incoming female dog at FOHA. We do intakes every other week. The winning bidder will be contacted before an upcoming intake to provide a name and two alternates for the dog. We will have a picture and provide age/weight information, but we probalby won't know much else about the dog.
Will you honor a beloved pet or relative? Maybe suggest the name of your favorite cocktail or super hero? Your favorite city? Your favorite hockey player? Have fun and help us come up with a name that will get the dog adopted.
Special Instructions
This auction is ONLY for NAMING a dog. You are NOT bidding to adopt the dog. Once the dog is available for adoption, it will go through FOHA's normal adoption process.
This will be the dog's official name while they are in FOHA custody. This is the name staff and volunteers will use to address her. This name will appear on the website, in social media postings and on their FOHA paperwork until they are adopted. After adoption, adopters can change the name if they wish.
Here are the rules:
1. Winner suggests a name and two alternates.
2. Names cannot duplicate the name of any other dog currently in FOHA's custody
3. Names cannot be political, religious, vulgar, racist, or offensive.
4. Names should not exceed 14 characters.
All names subject to final approval by the adoption committee.
A 2% fee will be applied to online payments to help cover processing costs.
