Mrs Bilyk's TK class learned to make cyantope images or "Sun Prints" on fabric.  Inspired by botanist Anna Atkins in the early 1800s, the kids gathered found leaves, flowers, feathers and other plants to make their art.  They arranged their treasures on prepared fabric, took it outside to get exposed under the UV light of the sun, then brought them in to finish the reaction by rinsing under water to reveal the vibrant Prussian blue!  Daniel's mom stitched the fabric prints together into an heriloom quality quilt to be enjoyed for years to come.
