Art is oxygen for my soul. My hobby is exchanging art in the mail, and I normally work within mixed media, or whatever materials are nearby. In 2019 I busted my knee, ruptured ACL among other things, and was immobile (non-weightbearing) for 6+ months. I missed collaging at my art desk and creating things. Inspired at the time by motivational quotes, to maintain a positive headspace throughout the process, I started creating my own versions of affirmations and quotes to keep me moving forward with the long recovery. I start each one with a photo I've taken of nature, or a flower bouquet, and play around with digital manipulation, mainly kaleidoscopes. I've continued creating these since then as I come across great quotes. Am happy to share a few of them for BDO's Art of Giving.
