Description

Imagine…
You wake up to the smell of freshly-brewed coffee. Enjoy that first cup sitting in a rocker on the front porch, taking in the beauty of a day just beginning. The chickens are scratching the ground around the yard, and the alpacas are nibbling on an early feast of tender grass underneath the dew. All this makes you a little hungry yourself and so your hosts will provide you with a delicious hot breakfast with farm-fresh eggs and homemade muffins. What a start!

That’s just a taste of how it is at the 1859 vintage log cabin at Heritage Farm. From there, you can read that book that’s been waiting on you, or go take a walk down by the creek, or pitch in with some farm chores. After that, explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm.  That night we will fire-up the brick oven and bake some of the best pizzas you may have even eaten before cozying up around the rock-lined firepit and making s’mores for dessert.

Maybe tomorrow you’ll take a hike across the creek beginning on the suspension bridge or even take a nap in the shady hammock! It’s all up to you…

We think of our farm as a little bit of ‘heaven on earth’ and we love to share it with others.
