Description

Hi, my name is Anna. I am 11 years old and a grade 6 student at St. Philip Catholic School. I've been painting for a while now but just now I've started using acrylics and painting lots. In my free time, I like to play soccer and volleyball. I really like my cabin too, it's so fun hanging out there with my family and friends. In my painting I used pink and blue for the sky. Pink and blue remind me of the sunsets at my cabin.

Katerina Mertikes came in and taught us how to paint and showed us the different techniques. She also gave us a step by step tutorial on how to paint this picture. As a class, she taught us how to make these amazing paintings. We used color to make it pop out and be easy to see from far away. While we were painting, I was scared I was gonna mess up but after Katerina showed us that we could just paint over it I wasn't scared anymore.

My painting is a picture of a snowy night with a stone house in the back. There is also a frozen pond in the front and a snowman with a blue scarf. I also added pine trees in the back and a couple in the front too. The sky is pink and blue, pink and blue remind me of sunsets at my cabin. The snow has a pinky blue tint to it to show a reflection from the sky. I hope you will enjoy my painting as much as I do. Thank you.
