Hello, My name is Isla . My family is originally from Canada. I have lived in Richmond for about 6 years now. I am a student from St.Philip Catholic school and I'm 11 years old. I created my painting called The Dawn Of Winter. I created it because I have never painted a scenery like this before. I am currently interested in the detail I put in and I've always been intrigued by snowy scenery.

I have recently taken an interest in painting so I think I did pretty good. I used color to show memory and emotion in my painting. My technique is to give layers and add more detail to each layer. Through the artistic  process I realized how capable I am of doing different things and texture. I hope that after people see my art they will be inspired to paint or to get ideas. To me my art means a lot to me because of how much detail was in it and in my opinion I think it turned out amazing. I was challenged by the fear of messing up but at the same time I had so much fun meeting Catarina.
