My name is Jackson and I'm a student at St. Philip and I am 11.5 years old. I have lived in Ottawa my whole life. We created paintings and other pieces of art to sell and then donate the money to a charity of our choice. We created this project because we have been investigating the power of art. I am currently intrigued by the possibilities that I see in this project. I have always been interested in art, but I never thought it could have an effect on your future career. I have recently taken much more interest in the power of art. We used color to show our feelings and our mood. We used symbols to represent the feelings we want the buyers to have. Our technique can convey… pretty much anything! You can use art in any job! Through the artistic process, we realize that pieces are not easily made, and that there are a lot of emotions that go into it. I hope that after people see my art they will support us in our journey to helping others through the power of art. I hope it will sell for good money, to benefit charities. In my opinion, art is a way to connect with your inner creativity. A new question that I have is: When was "art" invented? I am challenged by coming up with what to paint and what to make. I just hope that people see the help people need and buy my art.
