My family is originally from Ontario. I am a student at St. Philip school and I am 11 years old.
I created a painting with Katerina Mertikas and my class. I created this because my class has been investigating painting and art and we want to make money to donate to charity.
I am currently intrigued by fascinating art and paintings. I have always been fascinated by art paintings and sculptures.
I have recently taken an interest in a lot more art like music and movies and drawings.
I used color in my painting to show the beautifulness of paintings and how it makes it look more realistic and fascinating.
Through the artistic process I realized that painting takes time and within that time you should think about what makes you artistic in your own way.
I hope after people see my art they will like it and think, ‘what a beautiful painting!’ and hopefully when they leave my painting will bring joy and happiness to their minds.
To me my artwork means that there are so many beautiful wonders of the world like mountain tops, waterfalls, trees, snow and hills.
In my opinion my painting took a long time to make so I hope that it pays off.
A new question/wonder that I have is how long would it take an artist to paint a cabin with snow and a frozen lake?
I am challenged by my thoughts because in my mind all I can think of is what people might think of my painting will they like it? Will it bring joy?
I hope that it brings joy to people's faces and I hope it brings them happiness and excitement because my goal was to bring joy and happiness to peoples faces. That's what I was thinking about when I found out that people would come and see my paintings and my classmates' paintings.
