Description

Pine needles represent the evergreen. Periwinkle retains it's color throughout the year and is a symbol of eternity. The 3 leaves represent the Holy Trinity. Also regarded as a symbol of love.
An egg decorated in the Ukrasinian is called a "pysanka" from the Ukrainian word meaning "to write". The egg design is written freehand on a fresh, raw egg with a kistka, a tool that melts and holds beeswax in a small funnel. All the white lines and areas are waxed first. Next, the egg is repeatedly dyed and waxed, light colors to dark, until the design is complete. Finally, the wax is removed and the egg varnished. Once dry, it is emptied, cleaned and sealed.
Local pick up or shipping charges will be added to winning bid.
