Fourth Grade: "Cheerful Hearts"--collaborative painting, acrylic on canvas (30"x30")

Fourth-grade students learned about artwork by Jessi Raulet, an African-American artist whose brand, "EttaVee", is found in Target and other retail stores. She is known for her bright, swirling colors that give her artwork a joyful, cheerful feel. Students took turns painting abstract lines in the background and then applied more layers of paint to become a group of colorful hearts. When combined, each student's individual brushstrokes come together to make a beautiful work of art!
