Description
Remains of Winter, MP3
Vegetation, collagraph, 12” x 12”, oil inks on Japanese unryu paper, 2022.
This monoprint (mp3) has a deep blue surface with vegetation in a light buff hue. It is from a group of works that play with the 19th century tradition of flower pressing for remembrance and identification. The work is hand pulled through the press to achieve an evocative slightly embossed surface of Wyoming Yarrow that survived winter to remain in the spring.
The image is simply and archivally presented in a white frame to size.
