Blue Crush-Bridges Middle School Art Students

Item Number: 478
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Bridges Middle School students present to you their communal end-of-the-year art project. It all started with a plain canvas that the students gessoed and prepared for painting. Then, each class would execute a plan that the next class would build upon. The first layer started as geometric shapes that turned into a tree in the middle of the universe that evolved into a plethora of things that are concealed under the many layers of acrylic paint. The canvas that started as one big idea split into two, and were stretched on wood by the art teachers Rajab Sayed and Uriel Sandoval. Signed on verso by each of the 44 students that worked on the project, Blue Crush began as an improvisational painting idea from the mind of Rajab Sayed.
