When our winemaking team has a vintage like 2018 fall into their lap, it’s a pleasure for us all to experience the results. Our naturally energetic fruit from our seven unique Napa Valley AVAs surfs a wave of tannin and acidity that swirl together across the palate. Ripeness is rarely an issue in California, but it’s the ever-elusive “freshness” that separates certain years in terms of complexity.
2019 Chardonnay, Napa Valley
Our winemaking team blends Chardonnay from multiple, cool-climate sites all with diverse soil, to create an elegant Chardonnay. Cooling breezes from the San Pablo Bay help preserve the acidity and allow for even ripening patterns at these vineyards located in a variety of sub-appellations, including steep-sloped Mount Veeder, Coombsville on the valley floor and Los Carneros, where daytime temperatures rarely exceed 80 degrees.

Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items in Napa at a location and date to be arranged -- details will be emailed to winning bidders. Items not picked up by March 10, 2023, will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs.
Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped (if possible) on or around Tuesday, February 7, 2023, unless you tell us that you wish to pick up your item. Purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. Please contact us at sbspcauction@gmail.com by February 6 if you plan to pick up your auction winnings.
