Fund-a-Need: A Chicken Coop for Stone Bridge School

Picture it: Farm-fresh eggs! Busy, happy kids!

As children go through the 9-year change, the Waldorf model focuses on giving them real-world skills, so farming and cooking are a heavy focus in third grade. On the Carneros campus, we had a chicken coop, and each year it was primarily the third grade's responsibility to care for the chickens -- sometimes even to raise new chicks.

We would like to bring chickens back to our school, and the first step is a chicken coop!

Greg Greeson (woodworking teacher and general SBS handyman) and Farmer Chris are willing to spearhead a chicken coop project, with building potentially starting later this spring. Can you help with a donation?

Each $25 "Buy Now" lot purchased will go toward the building and upkeep of a new chicken coop (and its future inhabitants) on SBS's Coombsville campus.
