Swanson has long been producing limited production, tiny batch wines made from intriguing varietals. It is with our winemakers’ mindset that we strive to produce wines with marked elegance and finesse with minimalist winemaking intervention. With careful consideration of varieties of rootstock, clones, spacing and trellis systems, our challenge and endeavor is to ensure that all the potential of our vineyards is captured and reflected in our wines.
Swanson Vineyards, 2019 Salon Select Chardonnay, Napa Valley, 750mL - 3 Bottles
Focused and mineral driven for those who prefer a slightly less oaked Chardonnay. The palate is energetic, with ripe citrus and green apple flavors. A balancing acidity helps maintain the freshness alongside a relatively low alcohol level.
The vineyard is located in the heart of the Carneros district. Sheltered from the on-shore breezes by a ridge-line no more than 50 feet high. This allows the vines to achieve a good fruit set and maximizing yields. A much cooler site compared to some of our other more central Napa vineyards, the climate ensures that we retain acidity whilst generating sugars that give the wines vibrancy, energy an balance.

Swanson - 2019 Salon Select Alexis Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, 750mL - 3 Bottles
A pure cassis core lives at the center of this powerful Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine pours a dense deep purple in the glass, and as it does it gives up aromas of ripe plum, cassia bark and dark cherry. The tannins are bold and sumptuous, running throughout the wine and lasting on the palate many moments after the last sip. The palate flavors are dark fruits, slight wet clay note, some espresso bean and a touch of dark chocolate. All this is held together within a firm acidity, retaining freshness and structure.

Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items in Napa at a location and date to be arranged -- details will be emailed to winning bidders. Items not picked up by March 10, 2023, will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs.
Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped (if possible) on or around Tuesday, February 7, 2023, unless you tell us that you wish to pick up your item.
