Merryvale - 2019 Chardonnay, Carneros, Napa Valley - 1 bottle
Winemaking:
The majority of the fruit for this Chardonnay was grown on our Stanly Ranch Estate Vineyard (84%) with some select lots from neighboring Hyde Vineyard (16%) blended in. These Carneros vineyards’ proximity to the San Pablo Bay keeps them at a cool temperature and brings cool climate characteristics to the wine. Classic Burgundian techniques were used in the production of this wine. The grapes were whole cluster pressed to a combination of new and used French oak barrels, along with some stainless steel drums. The wine was fermented using native yeasts, underwent full malolactic fermentation, minimal stirring and sur lie aging for 11 months.
Tasting Notes: Sourced from our Estate Vineyard blocks on the historic Stanly Ranch as well as the renowned Hyde Vineyard, the 2019 Carneros Chardonnay is the best example of everything we love from the region. Bright acidity, savory salinity, layered complexity and luscious mouthfeel all converge in this bottle.

Merryvale Vineyards - 2018 Pinot Noir, Carneros, Napa Valley - 1 bottle
WINEMAKING
2018 was a remarkable vintage—the long growing season allowed the grapes to achieve full phenolic maturity, while the lack of extreme weather created the ideal conditions for harvesting at peak ripeness. Our 2018 Carneros Pinot Noir is a great representation of the region and the vintage, with fruit coming from four distinctly unique vineyards across the appellation. All of the fruit was hand harvested at night to retain freshness and acidity. After a 5-day cold soak in tank, the wines began native yeast fermentation. Hand punchdowns and minimal pumpovers each day, backing off and pressing at dryness. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation completed in barrel. Classic Burgundian approach.
TASTING NOTES
Showcasing hallmark dark fruits and bracing acidity, this Pinot Noir is classic Carneros. The complex aromatics have it all—underforest earthiness with a core of black cherry and baking spices, complemented by flinty minerality. Velvety on the palate, the wine is perfectly weighted with incredible natural acidity and a long, evolving finish. One of our favorites from a truly outstanding vintage. Drink now and over the next 10 years.

Merryvale Vineyards - 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley - 1 Bottle
Drawn from top Napa vineyards: Stagecoach, Hardman Stanton and Greenwood with each vineyard fermented separately in small tanks. Native fermentation started after a 5-day cold soak and reached a peak temperature of 90°F. The wines were pumped over a few times a day until dry and then pressed and drained to barrels where malolactic fermentation occurred. Aged in 50% new medium toast French oak barrels, the wine matures for 22 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Fresh and vibrant with great mouthfeel and a long finish, this wine is very approachable in its youth. Drinking well now, it exhibits classic Napa Cabernet characteristics with surprising depth. This wine sets the standard for high quality Napa Cabernets and will age beautifully for the next 15 years.
