Description

3 Bottles of Wine (1 Chenin Blanc + 2 Bubbles) from SBS Family Owned Wineries!

Located in the Napa Valley, Stone Bridge School naturally has several parents doing the noble work of making wine to keep us all sane. This selection of wines was curated using wineries that are owned and operated by some of the families of Stone Bridge School. 3 bottles total.

Onward 2021 Pétillant Naturel Malvasia Bianca, Capp Inn Ranch, Suisun Valley - 1 bottle

This Pét-Nat is floral and fruity, but refreshingly bone-dry. The opening aromatics are like sticking your nose in a fermentation vat, with yeasty brioche notes and lively youthful freshness. To follow are notes of night blooming jasmine, citrus blossom, melon rind, warm Kaffir lime scones with preserved lemon and a refreshing hint of sea air. And did I mention soft tiny delicate bubbles?!

This wine stays true to the nature of an authentic Pétillant Naturel style wine: I encouraged native yeast fermentation, which finished in the bottle, with no sugar or other juice added.

This is a pure expression of sparkling wine and she, my friends, is a spirited lady.

ONWARD WINES are single-vineyard, site-driven wines, and Farmstrong Wines are blends, and in both expressions, the vineyard sites are very special to me. I am a true believer in personal connection and there is a story behind each vineyard site and how it came to be part of my portfolio. In these stories, you will learn more about the people behind these vineyards. I liken my connection to these vineyards to that of one’s favorite shirt or coffee mug or chair. Like a well-worn fabric or a slightly chipped mug that may have initially caught my eye for its beauty, but over the years has won my heart because it just feels right. When it comes to vineyards this happens too, because of a combination of my connection with the vines themselves and my connection with those that tend them. For me, the grower's hands are most definitely part of the terroir.

My style is about letting the vines speak. They are the art, I am the canvas, and my job is to give them a chance to share their beauty in each and every vintage. My decisions are driven by the vineyard and the vintage, my cellar practices are to uphold the truths I find in the vineyard. To this end, I pick early looking for a balance of flavors at lower ripeness, as I find this is when each vineyard is in its most unique expression of self.

Carboniste Sparkling Albariño, 750mL - 1 Bottle

Welcome to the Sparkling Revolution

Champagne is from France - Carboniste is California

Our signature critter is back for its fourth year! As the statewide drought continues to challenge our growers, less water means smaller berries. However, it also means greater concentration of flavor. Our Albariño from Gomes Vineyard is electric in freshness, luscious with ripe tropical fruit, yet light on the palate. We feel that the 2021 vintage has amplified these characteristics, making it the best version of itself to date.

Freshly disgorged and ready to drink now! As always, it wouldn't hurt to pair it with some grilled octopus.

ABOUT CARBONISTE:

CARBONISTE Modern Sparkling Wine is a sparkling wine company started in 2017 by Stone Bridge parents, Dan and Jacqueline Person. Their wine has received recognition in publications such as Sunset, Wine Enthusiast, Forbes, and the SF Chronicle.

Our wines are made by hand with the highest level of attention and care. After meeting at UC Davis, Dan and Jacqueline Person worked around the world, then around California. These experiences informed their perspectives on winemaking. Dan worked for Schramsberg Vineyards for three years, making traditional sparkling wines from California grapes. Based on that experience, Dan decided there was a need for a new interpretation of California sparkling wine. Jacqueline was concurrently making still wines from a variety of terroirs across the Golden State, terroirs that have inspired the vineyard selections for CARBONISTE.
