This Princeton University Press edition of Excursions is new as shipped by PUP and unread. Excursions presents texts of nine essays, including some of Henry D. Thoreau’s most engaging and popular works, newly edited and based on the most authoritative versions of each. Essays include "A Natural History of Massachusetts", "A Winter Walk," "On the Succession of Forest Trees," "Walking," "Autumnal Tints" and "Wild Apples." Edited by Joseph Moldenhauer.
