ChildrenÂÂÂÂs story book of 32 pages and 29 colorful illustrations. The story is a retelling of Henry David ThoreauÂÂÂÂs humorous journal entry August 8, 1856 when his fatherÂÂÂÂs pig escaped. It recounts the struggles Henry experienced trying to catch and return the pig to his father. Henry did not have a day quite as he expected rowing on his boar and searching for rare flowers. He returned home with no boating, no wild flowers, and covered with mud and grease.
Donna Marie Przybojewski is the author illustrator of eight childrenÂÂÂÂs books on Henry David Thoreau, which have been used as story walks multiple times at Walden Pond Reservation.. She has had her illustrations displayed at the Walden Pond Visitor Center, First Parish Concord, and in the birth room of Henry David Thoreau at Thoreau Farm.
