Description
Bay Area artist Libby Black's signature sculptures re-create commodities, frequently luxury goods, using materials like paper, hot glue, and acrylic paint. Black combines items from her own life with other sorts of objects, some of them her own inventions, creating hybrids that mix the real and the imaginary.
Here, Black has created a sculpture of to-scale roller skates in her classic color palette and her iconic mash-up of luxury brand logos.
