Dr. Cheruba Prabakar, of her own practice, Lamorinda Gynecology and Surgery, has made it her mission to educate women of all ages and stages on how to advocate for themselves when it comes to healthcare. She has a social media account (@thefibroiddoc) and does webinars, livestreams, etc. to reach a broad audience and raise awareness of potentially taboo topics not normally covered through health ed in schools or even with their own physicians.

This opportunity to come and enjoy a casual, intimate AMA wine+cheese party is hard to come by--this is your chance to ask about taboo topics for yourself, "a friend", your daughter, your mom, etc., and get direct access to Dr. Prabakar's honest and very heart-warming bedside manner. There are no silly or dumb questions--only a unique opportunity to destigmatize what has always been embarrassing, taboo or hush-hush.

Dr. Prabakar is leading a new wave of healthcare practice--one that is about open discussions and where women are not gaslighted. She will launch an anonymous survey beforehand to kick off discussions based on submitted questions or topics, but of course, would welcome any direct questions at the event itself.
