The Colorado New Play Festival, celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2023, is a New York Times pick for A Top North American Theatre Festival. Located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the Colorado New Play Festival brings a diversity of voices, ideas, and beliefs to the American Stage. For twenty-five years, CNPF has been celebrating the raw power of words and providing a platform for some of the most talented playwrights in the country to further develop new works. 

Betty Hart is a Co-Artistic Director at Local Theater Company. Hart is an actor, director, and faciliator who became co-director of Local Lab, Local's new play festival in 2021-22 and director in 2023. You can hear her 2020 Ted Talk on compassion culture instead of cancel culture here. 

Winner will receive two tickets to the Colorado New Play Festival June 16-18 in Steamboat Springs CO and will experience the festival with Local Theater Company Co-Artistic Director Betty Hart.
