After seeing a flight attendant folding origami, it prompted me to learn/teach myself.  I ordered a basic book with some origami paper online, and started by folding one item a day.  The pandemic was just beginning at this time.  I had to close my business for a couple of months and was sitting around "feeling sorry for myself".  I then decided to send origami hearts with a thinking of you card to family, friends, funeral home workers, and elderly in isolation, calling them "Healing Hearts". The flight attendant told us about a group doing online classes during the pandemic, which I began doing once a month.  Folding origami became my therapy during this time, and continues to be.  I have folded thousands or origami pieces, including 1000 cranes for our recent wedding.
