Artist Statement:

I create work that incorporates graphic imagery into vibrant,

psychedelic settings. My process includes thoughtful consideration of

shape, negative space, and symmetry, often focusing specifically on

how a mosaic of overlapping shapes and colors interact. This form of

pattern making lends itself to a sense of transition and progression.

Whether that progression be from day to night, or spark to a smoking

bonfire, my imagery conveys a rhythm of floating upward.

It is important to me that my work is created from a place of

mindfulness and relationship with the inner self. One mindfulness

practice I resonate with is the visualisation of a small light growing

and expanding within the body. My work translates this abstract sense

of peace and growth that takes place in the body to a visual language.

I cling to the idea that our capacity for selfhood is always

expanding. What might happen if the boundaries of the paper were

connected to boundaries of the mind.
