Artist Statement:

I wish to add something positive to the world. I want the imagery to work on a level of physical beauty but also have an additional layer of connection with the audience. This can be through communicating and sharing an emotional state, concept or proposed action. I also wish to approach art making bravely, by creating works that excite me and interest me, and not be held back by a fear of failure. I also want to create art that addresses ethical gray areas and challenges and how to make progress on difficult political/personal issues. Finally, I wish to find ways to incorporate in my artwork my advocacy for education equity and disability justice.
